2004-2006
Scientific chief of the project “Misurare e rappresentare il territorio: strumenti antichi e tecnologie moderne” finanziato dal MIUR – Legge 6/2000 – “Divulgazione scientifica” (“Measuring and representing the territory: ancient instruments and modern technologies” financed by the MIUR – Law 6/2000 – “Scientific knowledge dissemination”) in the Academic Year 2004/2005 and 2005/2006.
The project was promoted by the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo” – Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the Technical Institute for surveyors “G. Genga” of Pesaro and with the Roll of surveyors of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino.
The activity was performed according to some main lines:
• Call of Tender for designing a poster involving the schools and the University.
• Didactic seminar for the knowledge of the evolution of the instruments, of the methods of surveying and of the main cartographical representations.
• Restoration of some instruments, in view of organising a permanent exhibition of the ancient instruments inside the “G. Genga” institute of Pesaro, with a catalogue of the restored works performed by Renzo Macii.
• Planning a travelling exhibition to take place in the buildings of the University of Urbino and in the other schools of the region, by preparing information panels on the evolution of instruments and on the cartographical representation connected to a multimedia product.
• Preparing a website containing all the information collected and project initiatives.
